A Ranch Retreat For All Seasons
The Cagliero Ranch
Experience the richness of California mission history on the Vineyard Wildlife
Ranch. You will be surrounded by 2,800 acres of rolling hills of oak trees, juniper cypress and bull pines. This spacious
family owned ranch has a year around spring and a mission reservoir that furnished water for the Padres to make bricks
and tile for the San Miguel Mission in 1797. Originally there was 16 acres that belonged to the Bishop of Monterey. It was
an old Spanish Land Grant. There are prestine views and sunsets on the range tops and a wild berry patch along Vineyard Canyon
Road. Cagleiro Farming has existed since 1956. The Cagliero's raise alfalfa and grain hay and have a cow/calf operation on
the ranch. There is a water system throughout the ranch that provides water for the cattle and wildlife. The ranch is also
included in the existing Tule Elk Program, plus it has wild boar and native deer. There are dove on the ranch, plus quail
that run along the creek with the wild water cress. The ranch has a main residence, 2 large hay barns, a granery, saddle room,
working corrals, employee husing, a shop and a hunting cabin. The thrid Cagleiro generation is running the farming operation
which will hopefully stay in the family for many generations to come. Vineyard Wildlife Ranch is located 5 miles north of
the Mission town of San Miguel and 15 minutes from teh premier Paso Robles wine region.
Vineyard Wildlife Ranch aims to please the outdoor enthusiast and takes pride
in preserving their ranch heritage.
